Please keep them coming, we need all the racers in this class/also potential players to participate in this discussion. Not just a handful.

I too agree that we need to keep within the spirit of the class.
True Street as APSA has deemed the class, should remain as such. Therefore the brakes are well overdue to be put on the rules for this class.
I have to seriously agree with a couple there Nick…..and a few more!
*Single carb (keeping in mind that TOCA has just built a 1000hp single carb ford engine) well done Tony
*A commercially produced cast intake
*No air or electric shifters
*Overall height of scoop controlled, not just the opening
a few more raise a concern but I’m sure this will kick start the discussions………… 😯
I love this class and am totally for keeping it a class that can encourage new racers as well as hi-lighting the merit of some very fast tough cars that have strived to push the limit for the best performance and ET’s of their cars. After all it isn’t a crime to want to go fast now is it?? 😆 😆 😆
What I believe needs to happen is a confirmed commitment from the racers in the states that want a round there.
Years gone by have seen all the ” I’d race if we had a round here” plastered on forum or FB……only to have the least amount of racers there from their home state and the field is made up of interstaters who themselves have made the pilgrimage there to support the event!
So my 2cents worth is to make sure that the states/rounds will be supported by all racers, with them planned and locked in very shortly for those to budget, plan, organise work/leave etc so that a successful Championship occurs rather than only a few be able to afford to get to them all. Maybe less rounds might be the answer??

ANDRA newsletter today, here is a copy of an interesting update on roll cages.
Removable roll cages rules now available
New rules permitting removable roll cages have been brought in by ANDRA, providing a new way to ensure safety while on the track but also preserving the street legal nature of many vehicles.
The specs for removable roll cages were researched extensively and tested by a team of engineers commissioned by ANDRA to determine the 8.00 second cut off.
Roll cages will be required to be registered with ANDRA.
The specifications for removable roll cage design are available on the Policies and Guides section of the ANDRA website, under the technical menu. Registration forms are available under Forms, in the competitor section of the website.

just letting all know if your interested in accommodation that the Hilltop Motel still has 10 rooms available for our shootout weekend, its 3ks from the track and has heaps of parking space as its on an acre and its $110 a night 48902 Bruce Hwy Benaraby (07) 4975 0211 😀

Firstly let me thank Johnny H, Simon and Johnny W, because without APSA there would be no shootouts and no opportunity to do what I love!! To the committee and delegates and those that help out at events and behind the scenes, a huge thank you. As I have said before I am proud to be part of the APSA family and love how they welcomed us into the racing fold in the True Street class back in 2011. I believe and support the vision of APSA’s growth and it’s dominate force of Pro Street racing and making its footprint in Australian Drag Racing now and in the future. Every racer from every class you are awesome and make it what it is today.
To our engine builder Gerry Cooper of Advanced Engine Performance, I cannot speak highly enough of his ability to build an engine that lets me get the most out of our lil SBC’s and achieve pretty sweet ET’s, he rocks my world. Both Gerry and Col can take full credit for my Championship wins and now our history making 8’s as because any racer will surely agree, it makes the driving so much easier and enjoyable when you just have to drive and you can rely on the car being at its best and ready for whatever you throw at it.
Brett Reilly, who is valuable beyond words, both as part of the crew and an extension to our family. He keeps me sane during racing and keeps the car ready between rounds, and parties hard with me after racing. Thank you hardly seems enough x
My wonderful hubby and crew Col who without him I would never have sat in the Torana and fell in love with racing. None of this would be possible without him and his support and belief in my ability and the goals I set for myself. For him I give the biggest thanks and all my love xx
Now enough of that…………….bring on round 4, its going to rock!!
