Quick message to help anyone else out.
I did find out a P275/60/15 is 11.7″ total on a 8.5″ rim
Also found out a P275/50/15 is 11.2″ on the same rim.Unfortunately ive gotta go with the 50s (atleast for now)
Cheers mate i will.
Cheers Pete,
Since i posted this i have done some more homework & im now going for a glide.
Its for an EH with a sbc with nos in x275.
Problem is that i wanna put an 8/71 on it after the car goes straight and im not scared of it anymore so i need something thatll handle it.
Lots of glides out there saying they will handle 1200hp etc for around the 3-4K mark but when i talk with any trans builder i get quoted around 6k.
Il have to keep hunting i suppose & maybe a good second handy might come up from a reputable source.
Be good to know if anyone has used a 3-4k one on something around 1000hp.
CheersIve been to a shitload of APSA events with SA cars racing.
Ned with the blue 57, Andrew with the red HQ etc.
Surely they should be listed.
My hope is that once a few names go up the competitive side will come out of the rest of SA to try & better them.Gday,
Im going to answer my own question here as i found out a bit of info that may help others.
Apparently (i believe) Dandy engines ran a reverse cowl & a hornet type scoop one run pretty much after another to test the theory & the ETs were pretty much identical.(sorry if it wasnt you guys)
So i guess il go for the reverse cowl.
Cheers14/71 for sure.
let us play too!I dont see the problem.
the bigger the better.lets go crazyGday,
Sounds like you wanna get rid of them.
Would you take $100.
Its for a good cause.434 sbc in an EH.
