    Hi all,
Just about to start building my 1964 compact fairlane… again, prob to suit True street but depends on what calibre of salesman Rocket have… and how much inspiration a few thousand empty bundy and cokes can create… First off is a quick coat of paint… anyone got any reccomendations? Macarthur area (SW Sydney). Ive had minimal luck so far, all the panel shops I have seen have basically just said theyll do it in their spare time, not so good. I came accross a shop called Xcustoms, anyone used em? He seems pretty keen to get my car done (its stripped and ready to be dropped at panel shop) Would like to have it back by xmas or so if possible…
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers
Thunderbolt (wannabe, cant find a real cammer!!!)

Too easy mate, yeah he is a good young fella that loves his tuff cars,
as you would have seen at the shop.

    Glad to have helped T.O…

Here are some pics. Just starting out…

The basic efi setup, small adaptor plate going in between the spacers and the throttle bodies. Have to keep it nice and low, so its all under the hood, away from the nasty red and blue eyes…

Rears… used 14×6’s and sent them to Neale Wheels, who changed them to 15×8’s, now wearing 295’s. He also changed the fronts to 15×6.

    Very happy.

Whitewalls, hubcaps and venetians… On a 10sec fairlane… (yes i know 10sec is a gay phrase around here but any faster in a fairlane just wouldnt be right…)

Rear end, ready for diff to be measured and fab’d, ive got a lot of mates who drift and they all keep telling me to put a hilux diff in it… 31 spline trutrac… Anyone know if americans like rice? lol 😆

And yes that is a 4pounder next to the Left rear, it is safe to say that during disassembly, the relationship between man and machine changed…
