Yep it went 8.98 at 151mph with a 1.37 60ft on my last pass for the day, apart from the 1/2 track shakedown pass it also went 9.19 and 9.09. Its the most consistent it has been for ages. Brought it home with out any breakages, now its time to fit the good pipes and get back out there.
I have just been going thru the data logs, it appears the GTX Turbo is around 30-40 Degrees cooler on the compressor outlet temps over the old 76mm T51R i was running. The old turbo used to peg the sensor at 130, when at the same point the new turbo is only at 90 deg. It also went only a 100th slower to 60ft with 2psi less boost off the line, the tubes in the slick appear to be working.
Took the old VK out to Calder Friday night to check out how it would go with the new hot side pipes. Ran a 8.87 @ 154mph off the trailer with no tune up changes. Left the line a little soft and was down 0.05 on my PB 60ft. It also spent 2 seconds on the limiter before the line.
Tweaked the limiter and ran 155.2mph on my last of three passes, but traction was an issue I was trying to leave too hard.
Went out to Calder again yesterday, ran a new PB 8.83 at 155.9mph, was a few hundredths of my best 60ft, prob would have gone 8.7x with a better 60ft. Spent most of the day playing with the boost controller, as I need to be able to get the car on boost during Pre stage so I can start cutting some lights.
